We’re calling this barrel “Woods Barrel Bliss” — and for good reason. It’s a doozy. Hand-selected by our staff in Bardstown, Kentucky, back in May of 2022, this may be the BEST single barrel we’ve ever picked.
A four-grain mashbill of 60% corn, 26% rye, 10% malted barley, and 4% wheat, this whiskey was aged to perfection for 6 years before being bottled in August 2025 at 8 years old. It clocks in at a WHOPPING 127.6 proof (63.8% ABV), making it equally enjoyable poured over ice or mixed into your favorite cocktail.
We’re incredibly proud of this barrel and hope it finds its way into the hands of true whiskey connoisseurs (and Bardstown Bourbon Co. fans alike). With only 84 bottles produced, this one won’t last long, grab yours while you can!
TASTING NOTES:
Expect rich waves of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, backed by a bold rye spice that brings pepper, cinnamon, and clove to the forefront. The touch of wheat softens the edges, offering a smooth sweetness, while the malted barley adds subtle notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts. The finish is long, warm, and layered — a true sipper’s delight.
