WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
It began with MARINARA. The Mother sauce. Now, MARINARA the wine! Wonderwerk's MARINARA lays down a foundation of graphite, clay, and smoky spice, with one dash of amaro, the way Uncle Lou likes it. Then comes the notes of tart cherry and plum that caught the sun so perfectly, concentrating its essence. It's time to gather around this wine at the table with famiglia. MARINARA is a familiar wine occasion. There's fruit, there's earth, there's sun, but there's also a perfect levity to this wine. It all resolves with the smoothest finish. Notice that tinge of amaro on the end palate? Time for another sip.
Blend: 47% Montepulciano (Lodi), 40% Zinfandel (San Joaquin County), 13% Malbec (Lodi)
