TASTING NOTES:
Crafted as a limited-release derived from 75 select barrels, the Old Forester Single Barrel Rye Whiskey is cited as only the second barrel in the history of the brand to be produced using Old Forester's rye recipe - created in 2019. Inspired by the original Old Foresters Rye, this single barrel powerhouse is bottled at varying 62% ABV, depending on the bottle, and composed of a mash bill containing 65% rye, 20% malted barley, and 15% corn. The nose opens with trails of brown sugar, peat, and cherries in swirls of smoke. On the tongue are notes of rye spice, preserved fruits, cherries, roasted pecans, hazelnuts, and a dash of pepper.
