WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Pouring a dark purple core with a shimmering mauve rim, the 2024 Abstract pops with immediate notes of ripe blue fruits—blueberry compote specifically—halved pluots, raspberry, freshly watered lavender and musk. Secondary aromatics of mocha and caramel come through as one transitions to the palate. Massive on entry, the wine shows off dark briar fruits, rhubarb, thyme and Bing cherry as the mid-palate full of texture presents itself. Closing with length, the wine finishes with sweet licorice and boysenberry coupled with chains of soft tannins.
TASTING NOTES:
Orin Swift's 2024 Proprietary Red Abstract is a blend of 51% Petite Sirah, 35% Grenache and 10% Syrah, with the balance a smattering of other varieties. It's full-bodied, with a beef-compatible tannic structure and notes of raspberries, blueberries and mint.
