WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Deep in the southern regions of Burgundy, the Maconnais district is still producing the same wonderful wines that it has for centuries. The Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuissé is a fine example. The steep slopes in the village of Fuisse give us the sun-laden Chardonnay grapes for this classic effort, which bears such enormous appeal. A crisply styled wine with catching hints of freshly cut flowers and brisk citrus nuances, it carries the summer theme as much as the solstice itself.
