WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The exceptional characteristics of Gevrey-Chambertin are authentically revealed by our old vines. Delightful aromas of ripe dark berries immediately entice the nose, while the palate exudes rich, powerful flavors.
TASTING NOTES:
Initially somewhat reticent the 2024 village Gevrey from Faiveley opens on the palate revealing black cherry fruit with hints of earth and spice. It is a classic Gevrey well done at this level with firm slightly grippy tannins moderate density and a lingering finish. It is fully ripe not astringent. This is a large cuvée for Faiveley blended from substantial holdings throughout the village and it has done well in a difficult year.
