WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Lion Tamer Red Blend explores the relationship between some of the beloved and unusual varietals of Napa Valley. Malbec leads the blend, balancing rich layers of fruit with mouthwatering tannins. Flavors of cassis and boysenberry, subtle notes of milk chocolate, and a lingering finish.
Blend: 62% Malbec, 13% Petite Sirah, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Zinfandel, 4% Syrah, 2% Petit Verdot
TASTING NOTES:
A very robust, powerful and full-bodied wine that wraps suede-like tannins around lavish, ripe and deep fruit flavors. Spiced, with notes of cinnamon, black pepper, dark chocolate, blueberries, black cherries and blackberry jam. Blended from 62% malbec plus small amounts of five other grape varieties. Drink now or hold.

Based on 60% Malbec, 15% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 4% Petit Verdot, the 2023 Red Blend Lion Tamer sports a dense purple hue to the rim as well as tons of red and blue fruits, smoky herbs, leather, and camphor nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, fruit-loaded, upfront, and pleasure-bent, with solid mid-palate depth. Drink this mouthful of delicious Napa fruit over the coming 4-6 years. Drink 2025-2031.
