WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
A special Chardonnay from old vines just outside the offical boundaries of the famous appellation of Pouilly Fuisse. This borderline vineyard lies at desirably high altitudes where they face southeast on mineral-rich soils of Jurassic limestone and flinty silecious rocks called "chaille".
A modest price for such a well-sourced and expressive wine, the Macon Fuisse is well worth a try. The palate is well-balanced and nicely structured. There's a gentle grip in the mouth. Stem ginger intermixes with Clementine and citrus fruit on the finish
