The 2023 A to Z Wineworks Oregon Chardonnay is a vibrant and expressive wine that showcases the best of Oregon's cool-climate character. It opens with a bouquet of tropical fruit, honeydew melon, orange blossoms, and white peaches, layered with intriguing notes of candied ginger, lemon balm, and spearmint. On the palate, it's juicy and refreshing, with bright acidity and flavors of lemon zest, golden apple peel, ripe pear, and grilled apricots. Hints of cucumber, guava candy, vanilla, and white gumdrops add complexity, while a heart of lemon bar and Honeycrisp apple brings it all together. The texture is smooth and balanced, with moderate alcohol and a touch of fruit sweetness that makes this Chardonnay both delicious and complete.
