2022 Vina San Pedro 1865 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley, Chile (750ml)
WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Intense cherry red color with prominent violet tones. Aroma marked mainly by red fruits such as raspberry and cherry, as well as berries such as blueberry. Some cassis (blackcurrants) and with notes or hints of spice, contributed by its aging in French oak barrels. Very good volume and medium/high structure. Soft tannins that give a long, pleasant and elegant finish. At the same time, it has a well marked acidity due to the location, which makes the wine very fresh at the same time.
Ideal to accompany game birds such as partridge and pheasant, roast meats, risotto and mature cheeses.
TASTING NOTES:
Earthy and peppery notes, followed by fruit aromas of cherries define the nose. This Syrah from the high-altitude Elqui Valley reflects the sunny days of the region, revealing ripe berries with hints of dried thyme and paprika. Nice acidity lifts the flavors, along with a dash of tobacco.

A very fresh cabernet sauvignon that shows lots of fruit. Dark cherries, black plums, paprika and peppery spices with a touch of smoked herbs. Medium- to full-bodied on the palate with a fruity, fluid center-palate and some chewy tannins at the juicy and very tight end. Las Piedras vineyard. Better in one or two years.
