WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
This Barolo represents the history and tradition of blending different crus of Nebbiolo in order to create a house style. The same care and quality work are employed on this wine as for all of the cru Barolo. This wine is an opportunity for many clients to enjoy a great Barolo with an exceptional price quality ratio.
TASTING NOTES:
A graceful Barolo with licorice, leaves, black pepper, balsamic, clay and minerals on the nose. Austere on the palate, with thick tannins, a full body, crisp acidity and a tight finish. Best from 2030.

The 2022 Barolo pours a bright ruby color and shows very pretty aromas of black raspberries, violets, fresh earth, and candied licorice. Medium to full-bodied, it expands across the palate with ripe tannins, balanced acidity, and good length while retaining impressive purity and a seductive profile.

Bearing the signature of the late Enrico Scavino on the front label, the Paolo Scavino 2022 Barolo needs time to open, so get the decanter out and plan to pull the cork well in advance. At this stage, the bouquet remains stubbornly closed and is difficult to read with confidence. The palate, however, offers a glimpse of what's to come, revealing a lean, streamlined texture with fine balance and understated elegance. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 19 months in large oak casks, this Barolo is blended from eight MGA sites across the appellation: Rocche Moriondino, Vignolo, Pernanno, Terlo, Albarella, Vignane, San Bernardo and Cerretta.
