A deep ruby red wine with garnet highlights, the nose evokes the essence of violets, with aromas of small red and dark fruits such as blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, elderberry, cherry, morello cherry, and plum. It finishes with nuances of black cherry syrup, myrtle, licorice root, undergrowth, tobacco, cocoa bean, and coffee powder. The palate is juicy and dense, with a powerful yet austere structure and balanced acidity leading to a finish characterized by fine, dense, savory tannins.
