WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Ruby red in colour, deep and typical. A velvety vinous wine, intense on the nose, fresh, rich and harmonious on the palate. Elegant and packed with finesse.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2022 Barbera d'Alba is a powerful, resonant wine. It offers notable textural depth, one of the signatures of Rombone, where all this fruit is sourced. Dark red plum, rose petals, cinnamon and leather fill out the layers. This is a relatively big wine. Today, I find the aromatics a touch muted. The 2022 spent 12 months in used French oak barrels.
