Continue Shopping2022 Domaine de Chevalier L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc, Pessac-Leognan, France (750ml)
WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Pretty golden yellow hue with bright greenish reflections. Fresh noes of citrus, ripe white friuts, and sweet white flowers. Necatrine and yellow peach accompany more complex notes of blackcurrant bud, almond, and linden. Dense and fleshy palate, rich with concentrated and juicy white fruit flavors. Beautiful freshness and vertical tension bringing a delicious mineral salinity to the finish. Great wine, refined and elegant. Good aging potential.
70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon
TASTING NOTES:
This is really perfumed with rose petals and citrus fruit. It's medium-bodied with brightness and fine tannins that caress the palate. Focused. Vivid. The second wine of Domaine de Chevalier. Drink after 2027.

The 2022 L'Esprit De Chevalier Blanc is a beautifully elegant white offering juicy citrus and minty floral notes in a focused, fresh profile. Medium to full-bodied, it’s clean, balanced, and vibrant, with terrific purity and precision. It’s the second wine of the domaine yet tastes like a Grand Vin. Drink bottles over the coming decade.

The 2022 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc reveals a pure, delicate bouquet of pear, peach, flowers, anise and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and satiny, it’s ample and concentrated, framed by delicate dry extracts and bright acids that segue into a long, fresh and delicate finish. This is a real success.

Jasmine, green almond and thyme notes lead the way, backed by a solid core of white peach and quinine. Everything drives nicely through the finish. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2028.

Tangy and forward, nice and bright with citrus fruits, lemon rind, orange juice and grapefruit pith. Has a really lovely construction, feels serious and well worked with underlying power and good concentration and bitterness on the end which I love. One of the more persistent though still missing some more vibrancy. In organic conversion.

The 2022 L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc is a wine that showed well from barrel. Now in bottle, it has evolved nicely on the nose with citrus peel and dried white flower scents that become a little oilier as it opens in the glass. This has fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity. This is citrus-fresh with a sense of nascent energy. It's maybe just missing a little complexity on the finish when compared to the Grand Vin Blanc.
