WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
A luminous ruby red, tempered by hints of pomegranate. Principally red fruits, sour black cherries, ripe cherries and blackberries. Spicy notes are overlaid with an intense nose of toasted tobacco. On the palate it was a balanced fusion of forest fruits with soft, bright tannins and a long, liquorice finish.
TASTING NOTES:
Restrained, if not closed, this focuses on straw and licorice before black cherries and fresh violets. Medium-bodied, it shows velvety, refined tannins with zesty acidity. Drink or hold.
