Intense and brilliant ruby red with purple hues. It presents an intriguing bouquet, balsamic and floral, with hints of red berries and spices. Notes of tobacco and toasted nuts The palate is full and structured, with a fresh acidity that doesn't indulge in overly sweet sensations. A lively tannic texture closes with a finish of black cherry and bitter cocoa; fresh, clean, and persistent.
Ideal as a dessert, it pairs well with coffee-based desserts, shortcrust pastry, castagnaccio, and chocolate cakes. Try it with bolder pairings, such as mature cheeses, especially Roquefort.
