WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, clean and bright. The nose expresses the typical aromas of violet and small red fruits. There are hints of underbrush, aromatic wood, vanilla, and jam, followed by subtle notes of intense and persistent coffee. It is a warm wine in the mouth, with a dense and full-bodied texture. The finish is long, with well-defined tannins. Brunello di San Polo, thanks to the characteristics of the land from which it comes, withstands long aging and improves with time in the bottle.
The elegance and harmonious body of the wine allow combinations with very structured dishes such as red meats, feathered and furred game, possibly accompanied by mushrooms and truffles. Excellent with cheeses such as aged tome, Parmigiano Reggiano and Tuscan pecorino.
TASTING NOTES:
Plums, red berries, cherries and cedar on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, creamy, velvet tannins and a long and flavorful finish. A rich wine that shows energy and focus. From organically grown grapes. Needs two or three yeas to come together, but it’s already very juicy and savory. Try after 2028.

Crushed violet, licorice, balsamic spice and dried black cherries form the 2021 Brunello di Montalcino's seductive bouquet. Textures of pure silk and polished red berry fruits meet enhancing nuances of dark chocolate and clove. The finish is incredibly long with tart blackberry and saline mineral tones.

The organic San Polo 2021 Brunello di Montalcino, with 40,000 bottles created, opens to a generous and complete bouquet that highlights dark fruit, spice, blue flower, grilled herbs and a hint of freshly cracked white pepper. It shows a faithful expression of Sangiovese and the nuance of the vintage. Fermented in cement and aged for 30 months in oak casks, the wine gains clarity and precision without excessive oak influence. There is good power on the palate with ample momentum through the mid-palate, along with chalky tannins and a dry finish lifted by bright freshness. Fruit is sourced across the Vigneti San Polo with southeast and southwest exposures on limestone and clay soils.
