WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Cantine Povero Barolo Priore is a garnet red color. Intense bouquet, evolving from violet and withered rose to "goudron", with cinnamon hints. The palate is firm, yet smooth and rich in tannins.
TASTING NOTES:
Quite an austere wine with aromas of earth, tar, lush dried cherries, pomegranates and dried flowers. Full-bodied and firm on the palate, with almost sour flavors, dusty yet ripe and woven tannins, some waxy character and a graphite finish. It will need time for better integration. Try after 2026.
