WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The Dry Creek Valley is an undiscovered gem, producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in California. Primarily known for Zinfandel, the valley has almost as much Cabernet Sauvignon planted. This lush and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon initially displays aromas of black cherry, plum, and fig, followed by mocha, violet and black pepper. A first taste of the full-bodied wine reveals flavors of black currant, boysenberry and blueberry. Hints of clove, coriander, bay leaf and green peppercorn bolster its richness, while firm tannins provide structure. The rich palate and well-rounded mouthfeel make this Cabernet approachable in its youth while also perfect for aging.
TASTING NOTES:
An inky color, potent black-fruit flavors and a velvety texture add up to a lot of deliciousness in this full-bodied and moderately tannic wine. Black currants and black cherries are accented by spearmint and toasted oak notes.
