WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
On the palate, it stands out for its incredible smoothness and absolute roundness.
It is warm, smooth, savory, and remarkably persistent. The flavors perfectly match the aromas perceived on the nose, creating a balanced, harmonious, and refined wine with excellent taste and great aging potential.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo San Zopito is dusty in character, with a bouquet of dried roses and crushed cherries complicated by a whiff of flowery undergrowth. Depths of ripe red fruit saturate the palate. It is initially silky in feel, yet fine tannins settle in quickly, matched by brisk acidity. The 2019 finishes dramatically long and potent as a tart wild berry tinge adds chewy persistence. Lose this in the cellar for at least a couple of years.

The nose is a mix of blackberry jam, tart wild blueberries, bergamot and plums beneath a dusting of pepper and a fennel garnish, and the palate is consistent, with more tart and sweet berries, citrus, pepper and herbs. Chalky, grippy tannins provide structure.
