WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Dark ruby center with shades of crimson at the rim. The nose enters with dark cherries, plums, smashed blueberries and black tea. Violets, licorice, allspice, clove lay back in the periphery with shades of cherry cola weaving through. The wine is medium plus in body with really good richness and polish, while just entering into its prime. This is such a good example of textbook Sonoma Coast at an unmatched price point! Drink now–2033.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2019 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast should be a smoking value and would be a great introduction for readers looking to understand the style of the Pinot Noir here as well as the quality. Black cherries, redcurrants, smoked earth, and peppery herbs all make an appearance, and it's balanced, medium-bodied, and just impeccably put together. It will keep for 4-5 years, if not longer.
