WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Exuding citrus aromas of lemon zest and kumquat along with green apple, green pear, lemon verbena, a hazelnut note and a slight brioche character, this Chardonnay is classic Hanzell. The palate reflects the nose, with the addition of honeysuckle and thyme, ending with a bright, mouthwatering, elegant finish. Vibrant and delicious now, this wine will surely evolve beautifully in the cellar for decades to come.
TASTING NOTES:
Stony, flinty and crisp in lemon zest, this wine was given time in both new barrel and stainless steel, allowing for complex, floral tones to take hold. Complex, balanced and elegant in style, this wine is mightily structured, with plenty of time to unfurl and impress.

The 2019 Chardonnay shows lovely hints of nuance that have started to develop in bottle. Lemon confit, apricot, yellow flowers, mint, tangerine oil and a touch of honey are all typical of a wine with some bottle age. Creamy and expansive in feel, the 2019 is showing so well today.
