WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Frei Brothers Reserve Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic expression of a deftly balanced Cabernet from this acclaimed region. Aromas of blackberries and dark cherry open in the glass. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with silky tannins and great structure. Brimming with layers of Mission plum and cassis, this Cabernet Sauvignon reveals touches of caramel and cocoa that complement a long, detailed finish.
TASTING NOTES:
I like the dark-fruit and herbal aromas with mushroom, bark and dried-flower character, following through to a full body with round, juicy tannins and a savory finish. Hints of black olives to the fruit at the end.
