WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Ramey's thirteenth vintage of this appellation Cabernet is blended from a combination of hillside and valley floor vineyards. Their style combines the harmony produced by traditional Bordelaise winemaking techniques with the voluptuousness gained from California’s weather.
Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc
TASTING NOTES:
This is a great appellation wine blended with small amounts of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Cedar, char and celery salt accent tight, refined tannins that grip the palate with intense flavor and texture. Black currant, crushed rock and a hint of toasted oak also contribute.
