80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot
The trick with red wine in Northern Michigan is to get the fruit ripe enough to display the true flavors of our region. Our vineyard techniques include open canopies to maximize sunshine and limited crops to focus energy. Our cellar techniques include clean fermentations and delicate use of barrels to frame the wines.
We aged the two wines independently and blended right before bottling. Together they represent an incredible balance of terroir, vinification, time, and complexity.
