2015 Fulcrum Durell Vineyard Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast, USA (750ml)
There's a salty, gravelly stone character to this medium-bodied wine that largely defines it, marking the grapes original home in the vineyard's Sand Hill block, planted entirely to one Dijon clone. Caramel apple meets a complement of crisper green apple, finding balance and grace in the glass. -Wine Enthusiast, 92pts
The 2015 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard went through 100% malolactic and was barrel-fermented in French oak, 42% of which was new. It offers notes of pineapple, passionfruit, ripe peaches and brioche with hints of marzipan and ginger. Medium to full-bodied, there is a pleasant savory character in the mouth with just enough freshness and a hint of smokiness on the finish. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 90pts
Brilliant golden color in the glass. Aromas of butterscotch, honeysuckle, caramel
apple and Meyer lemon. Complex flavors of apple, pineapple, apricot, fig and crème brulée. A weighty texture that fills the mouth. Leaving you with a very long finish and a hint of smokey minerality.
