DISTILLER'S NOTES:
This 1993 Fine& Rare release from The Macallan was filled 27 years ago in a sherry seasoned American oak hogshead cask and is disctinctive with its warm, mahogany colour. Aromas of vanilla fudge and cistru merge with a medley of red cherry, plum, and peach. Rich fig, cinnamon and ginger spice lead to hints of salted popcorn, rich antique oak leather and cigar box. Sweet oak and rich dark chocolate develop on the palate leading to caramelised grapefruit and vanilla followed by wood spices, ginger and hints of citrus and a light liquorice. The finish is long with a rich ginger and chocolate intensity.
Filled on 6th April 1993, this single cask is presented at its natural cask strength.
