DISTILLER'S NOTES:
Our special Tanyard Hill release starts with a grain bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley. We grind and ferment the whole grain, distill it in our copper stills, and then pass it through our traditional charcoal mellowing process. The Tennessee Rye Whiskey distillate was barreled in 2015 in new charred American White Oak barrels then were aged on the top floors of Barrel House 1 atop Tanyard Hill resulting in a complex, robust flavor that showcases our whiskey-making craft. Bottled at barrel proof, ranging between 130.2 to 148.8 proof, this special release exemplifies the versatility in proof that Tanyard Hill delivers.
