Continue ShoppingDuring the summer months, temperatures can become too hot to ship wine safely. So, we've outlined our warm weather policy below so that you know your options, risks, and obligations:
During this time of extreme warm weather, we are offering the following options after you place your order. All options include cool packs at no additional charge:
If we feel your delivery area is too hot we will default to holding your order until weather permits, or until we hear from you otherwise.
PLEASE NOTE, VERY IMPORTANT: We highly recommend either holding your order for cooler weather or upgrading to express shipping. Although the cool packs provide some protection, proceeding with ground shipping during times we've deemed it too hot to ship safely is not an option we recommend, even with cool packs. Because we do not consider this to be a preferred method, if you choose to go ahead and ship via FedEx Ground during a time we've deemed it too hot to ship safely, we will not be responsible for any heat damage that may occur. Any wine that is heat damaged due to our decision to ship, we will of course take responsibility for.
Please also keep in mind that an adult signature is required upon delivery. We cannot be responsible for heat damage that occurs due to missed deliveries.
We will continue to hold your order in our climate controlled warehouse until either we hear from you or until we've deemed it safe to ship.
2023 J. Lohr Hilltop Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles, USA (750ml)
WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
One of Paso Robles best known Cabernets – drawn from J. Lohr's top vineyards throughout the appellation.
Delicious with rosemary- seasoned ribeye, and garlic roasted potatoes with parsnips and fennel.
Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot
TASTING NOTES:
Easily accessible aromas of black cherry, cola, vanilla, and star anise draw the nose deeply into this bottling. The palate is rich and very polished, offering minty black cherry, dense fudge, and lovely violet flavors that are sure to please most red-wine drinkers.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Hilltop is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in French oak. Solid darker currants, plums, leafy tobacco, and cedar pencil notes emerge from this varietally correct effort. It's medium-bodied and focused on the palate, showing an elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Drink 2025-2035.
