WINEMAKER NOTES:
Bright ruby red. Intense and persistent with hints of wild berries. Savory and full-bodied with rich, well-structured berry fruit flavors. This wine is particularly well suited to meat, pastas and first courses.
TASTING NOTES:
A forthright Chianti Classico with cherry stones, fresh violets, licorice, subtle smoke and black pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied, it shows juicy acidity with a supple palate, refined tannins and cherry flavors. Drink or hold.
- James Suckling, 92 pts.
The nose is floral and saline, with aromas of cherry blossom, wet slate, crushed rocks, tea leaf and orange peel. The palate opens with cherries, dark chocolate and more orange peel, then turns earthy and salty. Assertive tannins and vigorous acid.
