TASTING NOTES:
The 2022 Blaufränkisch Heide is from the limestone-based Thenau site, from vines up to 30 years old, too young to be made into a site-designated wine. It fermented in stainless steel and was then pressed in 500-liter acacia and oak barrels. Pepper and blueberry are pure, vibrant and foremost on the nose. The palate skips along with smooth, crunchy tannins on a bright body that swings with freshness, deliciousness and a real spring in its step.
