WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Intense ruby red with garnet highlights, it has a broad, complex, and refined nose, offering a palette of aromas featuring notes of cherries, brandied marasca cherries, and dried figs, combined with a pronounced note of cocoa, dates, anise, white pepper, and spices. The palate is rich and powerful, yet crisp and agile, characterized by its characteristic minerality, which lends a long and pleasant finish.
After a few years of aging, it can accompany richer meat dishes, such as hare à la Royale and roast woodcock, but it's also ideal with spicy international dishes. Mature, it pairs well with aged cheeses such as Castelmagno or Bitto.
