TASTING NOTES:
Blackcurrants, roasted herbs, licorice, and some jus de viande-like aromas and flavors all emerge from the 2021 The Diplomat, a slightly more Merlot-dominated blend that includes 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, has integrated acidity, and fine tannins. Drink this beauty over the coming 10-12 years. Reviewed by Jeb Dunnuck, Issue date: January 2025.
