WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
The nose opens with aromas of deep black fruit, including blackberry and plum, layered with notes of baking spice and subtle oak. On the palate, juicy dark fruit flavors are complemented by hints of cherry, cocoa, and toasted oak. The wine is full-bodied yet well-balanced, with fine tannins and bright acidity leading to a persistent, elegant finish.
TASTING NOTES:
The vineyard, located off Oak Knoll Lane in the Oak Knoll District, produces a generous and fresh Cabernet Sauvignon. It features enticing black cherry, cola, sagebrush, and dark cacao notes. Medium-bodied with a distinct minty freshness, the wine builds gracefully on the palate with super-fine tannins, delivering good length and tension on the finish. Aged for 14 months in 30% new French oak, this is a polished and vibrant expression of the region and a complete and youthful wine. Enjoy it over the next 2-5 years paired with braised meats and hearty stews.
