WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Sourced from the La Fond and Spanish Spring vineyards in California's Central Coast, this Pinot Noir was fermented in tank for 3 weeks, with 30% whole-cluster fruit. One third of the wine was aged in neutral French oak. The wine is fresh and lively on the palate with notes of cherries, strawberries, licorice and black pepper.
TASTING NOTES:
Though light on its feet, this bottling begins with rather bold aromas of cherry, spearmint, wet slate and sharp spice on the nose. The palate sizzles with acidity that offsets a slight viscosity, as blood orange, cranberry, thyme and rainbow peppercorn aromas align.
