WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Pale straw-yellow with a bright glint it offers more delicate aromas of white peach, white flowers, green apple skin, and a sharper mineral vein. The palate courses with tension from the weight and mineral drive. Incredibly persistent and precise. Easily top of the class for Verdicchio and certainly one not to miss. Dare I say this wine has some parallels to old school Chablis with similar weight and minerality. Definite cellar potential - 5-10yrs.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2022 Verdicchio di Matelica Vertis is perfumed and floral, opening with an air of stone dust and lemon oil that gives way to gingery spice, rosemary and freshly sliced pears. It sweeps across the palate with textures of pure silk, showcasing ripe orchard fruits and hints of candied citrus over a stern mineral concentration that saturates toward the close. The 2022 is very long and nearly chewy with concentration. The mix of power, depth and purity here is wildly attractive.

This fresh and restrained wine shows orange notes and lemon bush on the nose, leesy and almondy. Full-bodied with vibrancy and crisp acidity, it bestows balance in the finish with concentrated fruit. More bony than supple at the end, though. Drink or hold.
