WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Very pretty pale golden yellow in colour with light greenish glints. Bright, luminous and limpid. The nose is an explosion of fine fresh notes, of elegant white flowers, fresh brioche and leafy tenderness. The taste reveals instantly all its power, richness and elegance-perfect balance of finess, mineral, mellowness and vivacity. It generously offers us a full spectrum of aromas. The finish just goes on and on, never to the forgotten.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2022 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru comes from 54-year-old vines and sees a ten-month élevage. The nose sports a clever, discrete reduction, well-defined and energetic, with touches of dried honey, wet stone and oyster shells. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, good concentration and a judiciously spiced, quite persistent finish. This deserves a hearty round of applause.
