WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
With ruby red colour and a lovely scented nose of redcurrants this is a medium-bodied and savoury Graves with notes of cigar box and dried herbs on the finish. The backbone of fresh acidity and grainy tannins suggest it will keep well. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 13.3%
TASTING NOTES:
Big and juicy, this wood-aged wine is ripe with a solid core of tannins. It comes from an estate that continues to improve and impress and is well worth aging. Drink from 2027.

Pretty plum and cherry fruit on the nose with chocolate orange and hazelnut, too. It’s creamy and medium-bodied with powdery tannins. Nicely firm finish. 47% merlot, 44% cabernet sauvignon and 9% malbec. Better after 2024.

The 2021 Bouscaut has a rather conservative nose, with modest blackberry and briar scents and a hint of black olive compote, but there is no underripeness here. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Fresh and clean, this is sapid and quite linear in style, with a composed and refined finish. This is above my expectations and might age with style.
