Zweigelt is pure drinking pleasure. This is why this incredibly versatile, native variety dominates Grassl's list of varieties at 50%. As a classic Zweigelt, it comes from various southeast-facing locations in the Carnuntum wine-growing region, where the 7 to 45-year-old vines find excellent conditions to fully ripen on loamy to gravelly soils. This interesting mix of young and old vines guarantees the complexity, fruit and spice typical of Zweigelt, which makes this classic so stimulating and easily entices you to have another glass.
