Old Forester 2025 Birthday Bourbon marks the 25th anniversary of the brand’s most celebrated limited release, paying tribute to founder George Garvin Brown. This special 2025 edition introduces a bold first for the series — a sweet mash fermentation process, diverging from the brand’s traditional sour mash method. The result is a remarkably smooth, fruit-forward bourbon that highlights a delicate balance between sweet oak and spice.
Distilled in 2013 and aged for 12 years in Warehouse K on floors 1 and 5, the barrels were carefully selected to showcase optimal maturity and complexity. Bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV), this year’s release reflects Old Forester’s ongoing innovation while preserving the timeless elegance that defines the Birthday Bourbon legacy.
Color: Rich amber with golden copper highlights.
Nose: Aromas of herbal tea, cardamom, and green apple layered with toasted oak.
Palate: Silky texture with flavors of vanilla cream, citrus zest, baking spice, and a touch of caramelized sugar.
