The Phantom Chardonnay reveals the richness and generosity of the vintage, shaped by the cool delta breezes and warm sunny days of Clarksburg. Aged for 11 months sur lie in a mix of French and American oak barrels, the wine glows a golden straw in the glass. The nose is layered, opening with baked apples, buttered corn pastry and lifted with a hint of cream soda. Caramelized pear adds depth, while subtle notes of waffle cone and tropical guava emerge with air. The palate is full and weighty, offering a creamy, luxurious mouthfeel balanced by Clarksburg’s hallmark freshness, carrying through to a long, seamless finish that lingers with warmth and elegance.
