WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Purbach's diversity with drinking pleasure. Homage to Purbach. A smooth blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
TASTING NOTES:
The 2023 Weissburgunder Purbach was harvested on the Felsenstein site on Leitha limestone. Until last year, it was labeled with its French name, Pinot Blanc. The nose is still slightly reduced but soon opens into chervil, lemon and seashell aromas. The palate is smooth and slender, with that cooling, soothing limestone depth that radiates freshness. The wine received two days of skin contact, fermented in stainless steel and stayed on gross lees until the following spring.
