WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
This wine is quite dark in color, with aromas of black raspberry, plum and blackberry reduction, dried sage, and crushed rock. The palate is deep and quite savory, showing black fruits, licorice root, grilled pork belly, and black peppercorns. Though there’s plenty of fruit here, the savory elements are what sets this Arnaut apart. Give it a couple of years in the cellar, and enjoy over the next decade and a half.
TASTING NOTES:
All varietal from a great vineyard in the Yakima Valley, the 2020 Syrah Arnaut Boushey Vineyard offers a perfumed, complex nose of mulled red and black berries, peppery, savory herbs, and some meaty, iron-like nuances. This complex, medium to full-bodied beauty has fine tannins, a layered, elegant mouthfeel, and a gorgeous finish.

The wine's juicy blackberry and orange-peel aromas are joined by a touch of thyme and crushed red-brick dust. The palate shows off significant tannic structure and flavors of blueberry gelato, cedar and a savory note reminiscent of meat fat dripping down onto hot coals. Heat from the alcohol is slightly noticeable.
