WINEMAKER NOTES:
This red wine is bold and luxurious, with loads of dark fruit like currant, blackberry, and dark cherry accompanied by some notes black pepper and earthy coffee bean. The strong tannins are balanced out by a surprisingly prominent punch of acidity, making this a very approachable, fuller bodied red that’s incredibly food friendly.
TASTING NOTES:
Aromas of blackcurrant, stewed blackberry, lavender and sweet spice. Mushroom, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, powdery tannins. Vanilla notes at the end. Needs a year or two to come around.
