TASTING NOTES:

The 2015 Barolo is a gracious, mid-weight Barolo to drink now and over the next few years. Sweet tobacco, cedar, spice, dried cherry and worn-in leather are all suggestive of a Barolo that will mature relatively early, so I would not push my luck on cellaring beyond more than a few years. Readers who want to enjoy an approachable 2015 Barolo with a good bit of flavor complexity will find that here.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES:

Intense garnet red. Intense, complex, sweet spices, violets, balsamic notes. Warm, supple, good acidity, well integrated tannins.

Pairs well with braised red meat dishes and seasoned Piedmontese cheese.
