WINEMAKER'S NOTES:

The 2018 Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon delivers expressive aromas of ripe raspberry, dark cherry, and blackberry along with hints of cedar and spice. The mid-palate is pleasant and round with flavors of dark chocolate, plum, dried fruit, and toasted oak. The finish is rich and lingering.

Enjoy this Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled tri-tip, braised short ribs, or pasta with wild mushrooms and prosciutto.

Blend: 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec
TASTING NOTES:

A chewy red with blackberry, blackcurrant and dark-chocolate character. Full-bodied with polished tannins and a savory finish. Drink or hold.

COMMENTARY: The Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Artemis is one the Napa Valley's tried and true Cabs, and the 2018 vintage is one of the winery's best efforts. TASTING NOTES: This wine is bright with aromas and flavors of ripe red and black fruits and a light touch of oak. Enjoy it with grilled lamb chops. (Tasted: March 2, 2021, San Francisco, CA)

Well-built, with a focused core of red and black currant fruit, mixed with dark earth, sweet tobacco and singed vanilla notes.

Always a solid value in Napa Cabernet, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis has a varietal nose of darker currants and subtle blue fruits as well as green tobacco, lead pencil shavings, chocolate, and cedarwood. This carries to a medium-bodied, nicely textured, elegant 2018 that offers the vintage's fresher, more elegant texture, present tannins, and plenty of length on the finish. It's not for those craving blockbuster wines, but it has elegance and charm. It should benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for 10-12. Rating: 90+
