WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
On the nose, blue fruits, plum and violets dominate. The purity of the vintage shines through with a wonderful balance of richness and focus. One of the more generous Pinot Noirs in our portfolio, the Gap’s Crown Vineyard provides consistently balanced fruit at reasonable alcohol and ripeness.
TASTING NOTES:
A brilliant wine, the 2019 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard has a smoky, complex, medium-bodied, and perfectly balanced style that carries pure black raspberry and redcurrant fruits, notes of autumn forest floor, spice, and sweet earth, supple tannins, and just gorgeous purity of fruit. This classic, quintessential, pure, straight-up seamless Sonoma Coast beauty will keep for over a decade, although I see no need to hold off.

Floral and earthy on entry, this medium-bodied wine is strong in tannin and savory persistence, mixing forest floor and black tea with crushed rock elements. The oak is nuanced and supportive, helping to further structure and frame the wine.
